WAW Walking-Wagon/ 2D Concept/ Multi-legged walking tank/ 多脚歩行戦車/ 多脚戦車/ Also called Multi-legged tank/ As a fellow fan of Japanese mechanical design, I find that the WAW stands out because it feels engineered rather than fantastical. The exposed actuators, sensor arrays, and articulated leg geometry make it look like a machine that could plausibly exist a few decades from now, which is a hallmark of Ghost in the Shell and Patlobor's mechanical design philosophy./ Mixed-media explorations, incorporating initial concept sketches, Photoshop-based digital development, and final visual refinement with AI./ The original artwork that inspired these pieces is posted at the bottom. I’ve always loved the unique mechanical designs in Ghost in the Shell and Patlabor: The Movie, and I wanted to explore some of that inspiration in my own work.
